گزارشی مختصر از نمایشگاه نقاشی مجتبی رستمی طراح و نقاش-Mojtaba Rostami

هنرمندی که به تدریس علاقمند است باید توان تدریس رو هم داشته باشد چون قطعا مورد آزمایش قرار می گیرد مجتبی هم در آن زمان که درگیر آموزش بود، جزوه‌هایی را هم آماده‌کرده بود تا فضای تدریسش که به صورت آکادمیک و حرفه‌ایی بود بهتر پیش رود و دانش‌آموزان نیز از آن‌ها بهره‌مندشوند. این روند در بخش عملی کار هم پیش می‌رفت و همیشه در حال آماده‌سازی و بروز کردن تجربیات خود بود و این اتفاق سبب خروجی های مطلوبی از کلاس‌های او، بخصوص در مدارس شد. در زمانی که در آموزشگاه کمیل مشغول به تدریس بود، پدر یکی از هنرجویان مدیر فرهنگسرای اشراق بود و به او پیشنهاد نمایش آثارش در آنجا را داد. در نهایت طی گفتگویی که با پدر هنرجو صورت گرفت قرار بر این شد که نمایشگاهی از آثار مجتبی رستمی در فرهنگسرای اشراق که در آن‌زمان در بین فرهنگسرا ها دارای شهرت خوبی بود برگزار شود. مدیر فرهنگسرا در یک مکالمه تلفنی یک وقت جهت برگزاری نمایشگاه ایشان معین کردند، اما به قدری مدت زمان برگزاری زود بود که  به ناگزیر هنرمند این دعوت به همکاری را رد کرد، زیرا در آن زمان مجموعه‌ایی کامل برای نمایش  نداشت. در پایان اتفاقی که در این مکالمه‌های پی در پی رخ داد سبب شد مجتبی رستمی مجدد به سمت برگزاری و نمایش آثاراش روی آورد و در نهایت با زمانی که دو الی سه ماه فرصت برای جمع آوری مجموعه‌اش داشت موافقت کرد و در آخر زمانی در تابستان هماهنگ شد.

به‌دلیل مدتی دوری  هنرمند از فضای نمایشگاهی باید کمی دقیق‌تر و جدی‌تر روی این موضوع وقت می‌گذاشت و آن را دنبال می‌کرد. به‌طور کلی نقاشان می دانند هرنقاش موضوع یا موضوعاتی مشخص برای جمع‌آوری مجموعه آثارش دارد، در آن دوران یکی از مباحثی که خیلی برای هنرمند جذاب به شمار می‌رفت و یکی از دغدغه‌های او بود حالت‌ها و پرتره‌های شاگردانش محسوب می‌شد و با توجه به اینکه هر هنرمندی‌که به تدریس مشغول است قطعا با این اتفاق روبرو خواهدشد که شاگردان یا هنرجویانش علاقه داشته باشند توسط قلم استادشان چهره‌نگاری شوند. مجتبی هم به فکر نقاشی از چهره ی شاگردان شد و موضوع همکلاسی‌های من را انتخاب و شروع به فکر و انتخاب سوژه در باب آن کرد. در آن سالها مدارس تهران، هرکلاس بین 35 تا 40 دانش‌آموز داشت و در این زمان کوتاهی که او سرکلاس باید تدریس می‌کرد پاسخگوی این شوق دانش‌آموزان نیز بود. از آنجایی که سعی بر این داشت، هرگز تفاوتی میان شاگردانش نگذارد تصمیم بر این گرفت تا پرتره‌های زیادی از بچه‌ها بکشد و این جذابیت باعث شد در زمان خودش از آن‌ها کار کند. با همین دیدگاه در آن دوران یک دوربین عکاسی مارک سُنیH9 خریداری کرد  و این دوربین نیمه حرفه‌ایی را با خود سر کلاس برد و به جای نقاش از آن‌ها عکاسی می‌کرد با این تفاوت که قرار براین بود بخشی از این عکس‌ها تبدیل به پرتره‌های نقاشی شده و کار شده از بچه‌ها شود. زمانی که وقت نمایشگاه را گرفت و به فرهنگسرای اشراق رفت با دیدن فضای آنجا احساس بر این داشت که موضوع بسیار خوبی را انتخاب کرده‌است. عنوان مجموعه همکلاسی‌های من بود و با همین نام هنرمند شروع به کار و پرورش مجموعه‌اش کرد. در اوایل کار بچه‌ها در مقابل دوربین خیلی ژست و فیگور می‌گرفتند، اما مجتبی رستمی آنچه در ذهن می‌پروراند فراتر از این ها بود و از این‌رو شروع کرد به عکس برداری از بچه ها در زمان‌‌هایی که اصلا حواسشان نیست و مشغول کارشان هستند. ماحصل حدود 2000 عکس شد و در نهایت قرار براین بود که هنرمند از بین عکس‌ها انتخاب کند و مجموعه‌ایی را برای نمایشگاه همکلاسی‌های من در فرهنگسرای اشراق آماده کند و با توجه به زمانی که برای اجرای کار داشت تصمیم گرفت از روش مدادرنگی بهره‌بگیرد، چون در آن زمان تسلطش بر تکنیک و کار با این ابزار هنری بود و احساسش بر این بود که با این روش اجرایی در این مدت کم از عهده کار بر می‌آید و کودکی موجود در وجود بچه‌ها بهتر به نمایش در می‌آید. از بین 2000 عکس 300 تایی که خاصیت تبدیل به تابلو را داشتند، منتخب شدند. آثار در نمایشگاه همکلاسی‌های من به روش مدادرنگی بر روی مقوا، در سایز 30 در 40 اجرا شدند. تا زمان برگزاری نمایشگاه حدود 40 اثر آماده‌شد و آثار مجموعه اول  در فرهنگسرای اشراق به نمایش درآمدو پایان کار این نمایشگاه که در تابستان هم برگزار شده‌بود از آنجایی که هنرمند با شاگردانش هماهنگ کرده بود همه در روز افتتاحیه حاضر شده بودند و به دنبال چهره‌های کارشده‌شان می‌گشتند. مبحثی که این نمایشگاه را برای بچه‌ها جذاب می‌کرد این بود که نمی‌دانستند کدام یک از فیگورها و پرتره‌های گرفته‌شده‌ی آن‌ها سوژه‌ی اصلی برای کار در این مجموعه قرارگرفته‌است. و مجتبی رستمی نقاشی ها را در کنار عکس ها به نمایش گذاشت .از آنجایی که فرهنگسرای اشراق بسیار شهرت داشت، تبلیغات خوبی هم صورت گرفت و همچنین خرید آثار در این مجموعه همانند نمایشگاه قبلی بسیار خوب و چشم‌گیر بود. اتفاقات جالبی در بین زمان نمایش آثار اتفاق افتاد که در متن های بعدی به آنها اشاره خواهد شد.​

At that time, when he was involved in education, he had also prepared
pamphlets so that his teaching environment, which was academic and professional, would
go better and the students would also benefit from them. This process continued in the
practical part of the work as well, and he was always preparing and updating his
experiences, which led to favorable results in his classes, especially in schools. While he was
teaching at Komail school, the father of one of the students, who happened to be the
director of Eshragh Cultural Center, suggested him to exhibit his works there. Finally, during
a conversation with the student's father, it was decided that an exhibition of Mojtaba
Rostami's works would be held at the Eshragh Cultural Center, which had a good reputation
at that time. In the same phone conversation, the director of community center fixed a time
for holding his exhibition, but the duration of the exhibition was so early that the artist
inevitably rejected this invitation to cooperate, because he did not have a complete
collection to show at that time. In the end, successive conversations made Mojtaba Rostami
turn to holding and exhibiting his works again, and finally he gave his assent to the time he
had two to three months to collect his collection, and agreed on a time in the summer.
Due to the fact that the artist is far from the exhibition space, he should have spent a little
more time on this issue and followed it.
In general, every painter has a certain subject or subjects to collect his collection of works.
At that time, one of the topics that was considered very attractive for the artist and one of
his concerns was the poses and portraits of his students, and considering that every artist
who is teaching will definitely face the fact that his students are interested. Let them be
painted by the powerful pen of their teacher.
He chose the topic of "my classmates" and started to think and choose an object about it. In
those years, Tehran schools had between 35 and 40 students in each class, and in this short
time he had to teach the whole class and he was also responsible for the enthusiasm of the
students.
Since he tried to never differentiate between his students, he decided to draw many
portraits of children and this attraction made him work on them in his own time. With this

view, at that time he bought a semi-professional Sony H9 camera and took that with himself
to class and photographed them instead of painting, with the difference that some of these
photos were supposed to become painted and worked portraits of children. When he took
time from the exhibition and went to Eshragh Cultural Center, seeing the atmosphere there,
he felt that he had chosen a very good subject.
The title of the collection was "My classmates" and with this name the artist started to work
and develop his collection. At the beginning of the work, the children used to make a lot of
poses and figures in front of the camera, but what Mojtaba Rostami had in mind was
beyond these, therefore, he started photographing the children when they are not paying
attention and are busy with their work.
The result was about 2000 photos, and in the end, the artist was supposed to prepare a
collection of these photos for the "My Classmates" exhibition at Eshragh Cultural Center,
according to the time he had to implement the work, he decided to use the method of
colored pencil. Because at that time, he had mastered the technique and working with this
artistic tool, and he felt that with this method of execution, he could handle the work in this
time, and the childhood in children would be better displayed.
Among the 2000 photos, 300 were selected that could be converted into paintings. The
works in the exhibition "My classmates" were performed using colored pencils on
cardboard, in the size of 30 x 40. By the time of the exhibition, about 40 works were
prepared and the works of the first collection were displayed in Eshragh Cultural Center.
This exhibition, which was held in the summer, and the artist had coordinated with his
students, they all showed up on the opening day and were looking for their painted faces.
The topic that made this exhibition interesting for children was that did not know which of
the figures and portraits taken from them was the main subject for the work in this
collection. As Eshragh Cultural Center was very famous, there was good publicity and also
the purchase of works in this collection was very good and impressive as in the previous
exhibition.
